HE HAS FORGIVEN ME  I wrote this song in the early 1990's or late 1980's.   If I could list just one fact about Marie Armenia on this entire website it would be that He Has Forgiven Me.

This song has been recorded by Damaris Carbaugh, The Couriers and quite a few others.  I understand that Joyce Meyer had one of her singers sing it during her meetings last year. It's was performed on two separate Billy Graham televised programs.  It took me 20 minutes to write it.  Sometimes God just wants a song written.  Click on the link below to hear it.

"HE HAS FORGIVEN ME"

CHRIST IN ME    This song was written and put away for years.  When I wrote it, I imagined a day when, perhaps, our freedoms would not be here, and being a Christian could become dangerous.  The world was much saner when I wrote this song.. but.. no matter what happens, I will always have Jesus. No one can take Him from me.  A simple chorus, and then I added the Bridge later.  Phil used it as a practice song for the choir in church.  This song has also been recorded by Damaris Carbaugh, and is part of the songs on the latest CD by The Couriers.  It has been included in a choir collection just released by Prism Music.  Also broadcast on a Billy Graham crusade. SOMEDAY  The late, great studio guitarist, Bobby All was at our home one day, and I started singing this new song I'd written. (probably 2001).  He just "got it" and we recorded it in our home studio.  I wrote this song because I see how sometimes we can try to explain ourselves to people, but they think we aren't telling the truth.  Or we lose people from our lives...and we love them and we cannot believe we have to carry on without them.  I was reminding myself that someday.... that won't be true anymore.  Only LOVE will remain.  (CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW)

LITTLE MIS-UNDERSTANDING    I wrote this song in 2001. Sometimes, it's the small things that cause the biggest problems. No one gets through life without being misunderstood.  And sometimes we can be the ones who don't understand.  The point is that if all the people involved are CHRISTIANS we are supposed to work it out, talk it through.  But sometimes, one person gets hurt feelings, and they can infect others.. and before you know it... a little misunderstanding has done a whole lot of damage.  (CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW)

NOTHING CAN SEPARATE -  This is a fun song which I co-wrote with my son, Philip.  He was at our house years ago, and playing the chords on his guitar.. and.. I started to put some words to it.. and we got this.  He is playing the guitar on this song.. including the lead guitar solo in the interlude. (CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW)

HE CALMS THE SEA    I admit that at times, in the past, I was such a whiny follower of Jesus.  Whenever something came along that rocked my boat.. even.. just a little.. I'd give up in defeat and say, "This is it.  I'm going under".  One day the Lord gently reminded me that.. in FACT.. I had NEVER gone under.. I was NOT GOING under.. and would NEVER GO under.. because HE would not let me.   I co-wrote this song with my husband Phil.  The late Calvin Hunt recorded this song on his first CD.(c) Discovery House Music  (CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW)

PRAISE HIM ANYWAY  This song was sitting around for a while, and then one day I said, "I feel like when I'm pray God is on vacation or I'm getting His voice mail."   And the Holy Spirit reminded me to praise God anyway.... It's true. I did. And suddenly knew that God is ALWAYS close.. always there.  So.. here it is.  My son, Philip is playing the guitar on this song.  (CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW)

RESURRECTION   I wrote this in 2000.  I sang it once through.. and just decided to keep the passion of the moment.. rather than fix the pitch...I think that sometimes, some Christians, when they hear that Jesus rose from the dead, their unspoken thoughts are "How nice for Him." We need to remember that because HE rose from the DEAD.. so will we.  But furthermore... ONLY JESUS can resurrect dead things.   Has something DIED inside of you?  Or has a relationship died?  Or have your hopes died? Or worst of all, someone you love has died and left you.   If His life is inside you both, you will be reunited forever. Jesus can resurrect anything that has died. (CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW)

THE PAIN SOME PEOPLE FEEL  I wrote this in 1999.   At times,  life can be VERY painful.  Our pain may not be our fault, or it could be that our pain comes as the result of mistakes we've made.  God extends mercy to anyone who asks Him for it. Mercy is what we receive and mercy is what we should offer to others.. even if their pain is their own fault.  Incredibly, at times, people who have freely received mercy from God because of Jesus sacrifice are unwilling to have mercy on someone else.  Sometimes these people expect perfection in others.. but excuse the lack of it in themselves. Have you ever been in need of mercy and people who have freely received God's mercy found it difficult to extend it to you?  You might relate to this song.  The GREAT Jim Hammerly played all keyboards.  (CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW)

YOUR DISCIPLE - Phil and I wrote this song in 1990-something.  Having seen our fill of people looking for miracles.. we wrote a song telling our LORD that we wanted to endure to the end... we wanted to allow His discipline to mold us and shape us.. we wanted to hear Him say, "Well done".  Being a disciple means that when the miracles end... and the Cross arrives.... you stay where you are and keep trusting Him.
