WOW. THAT SAMARITAN WAS REALLY NICE.I am beginning to understand the slight glitch and disconnect I have had in the past
concerning the Bible and why it exists. Especially the Jesus part of the Bible. Point
of the whole story of Jesus can be summed up in to two words: "DO SOMETHING." Like... uh... Jesus didn't
sit in heaven and let us face the consequences of our sin. No. He DID something about it. He died for me.
He took God's wrath for me. He DID something. So like, for
example, when Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan, He is telling us, "As
you go through your every day.. you will come across someone who needs you to be merciful to them. Stop your plans for
today and help someone in need." IT IS POSSIBLE THAT IF EVERY
ONE OF US ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING WHEN WE KNOW SOMEONE ELSE IS IN NEED... THAT.. EVERY PERSON'S NEEDS ON EARTH WOULD BE MET???
Maybe... God's plan is that every human being on earth should really care for every
human being they know. Instead, if you're like I am.. I just used to think,
"Wow. That Samaritan was really nice." NO.. JESUS IS SAYING TO ME.. YOU BE LIKE THE SAMARITAN. Today.. DO SOMETHING. Our gatherings in church.. our songs.. our words....all seem to say the same elementary,
newborn thing: "I'm saved. I'm saved. Jesus paid for my sin. I'm saved. I'm saved. I'm saved."
It is wonderful to be saved from eternal damnation. I agree. But at some point.. you have to stop congratulating yourself
for accepting God's free gift.. and DO SOMETHING TO HELP OTHERS - GET SAVED, GET HEALED, GET WHOLE, GET HELP. TODAY... OPEN YOUR EYES.. SEE A NEED RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU... MAYBE A FAMILY MEMBER, OR A
CO-WORKER, OR A NEIGHBOR... SOMEONE.. SOMEWHERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU NEEDS HELP.....SO... BE THE GOOD SAMARITAN IN
THAT PERSON'S LIFE.

YESTERDAY'S GONEYesterday is over. It isn't coming back. You cannot re-do it. It's
gone forever. I am convinced that accepting this truth is a vital element in having a happy and productive life. For some of us this is good news. For some of us, yesterday was a down day,
or a bad day or a challenging day. Some of us made big mistakes yesterday. Some of us endured terrible disappointment
yesterday. Yesterday's gone. Someone once told me, "Waking up in the morning is God's way of telling you you get
another chance.' I woke up this morning. So did you. You get another chance today. You get new mercy
today. You get a clean slate today. Take it. For some of us, yesterday's
passing is bad news. Maybe you had to say goodbye to someone you love yesterday and you wish with all
your heart that you could live yesterday all over again. Maybe you had the best day of your life yesterday. Yesterday
could have been the day you achieved something you've been trying for for years. Whatever good you did yesterday is
gone. You cannot live on the good things you had or the good things you did yesterday. It's gone. The Bible speaks of "yesterday" metaphorically... yesterday means "your past".
If you cannot get over your past you will never live another real day in your life. Whatever
great things you accomplished in your past ...........doesn't matter today. Whatever bad
things you did in your past......doesn't matter today. I read somewhere that's why God refers to Himself as "I
AM". He isn't "I WAS". He isn't "I AM GOING TO BE".. He
is "I AM". And so are His people. Say... "Today,
I am............." and finish the sentence. God will give you strength for today. Yesterday's
gone. Tomorrow is not promised.
