RUNNINGRunning can be exhausting. At first, if you are running on a treadmill, or running a
marathon, you get tired after just a few minutes. The more you run - the more you CAN run. At first, running
just one mile took your breath away, but as you keep running, the first mile hardly has you breaking a sweat. The
more you run, the farther you can run. This principle applies
to our spiritual lives as well. The more you run, the more you CAN run. If you are running toward the
Lord, if you are chasing God and His Ways,it becomes easier to run the run. To run the race, to finish the course. Pretty
soon, the goal becomes clearer, the end more attainable. Unfortunatey,
the opposite is also true. If you choose to run away from God, away from His ways and His holiness, the more you run,
the more you CAN run. THE MORE YOU RUN AWAY FROM GOD - THE EASIER IT GETS. That's
why the true meaning of the word "repentance" means "turning around and going in the opposite direction." You don't have to be an athlete to be a runner. Everyone alive is running. Everyone runs. The only thing that matters is what you're running toward.
